For the second consecutive year, Sunnyside Acura in Nashua, NH a part of the New England Acura Dealers Association (NEADA) presented Boston Children’s Hospital(BCH) with a check for an additional $25,000 donation, thanks to the help of their loyal service customers.

From Dec. 2, 2014 to the end of 2014, the NEADA donated 10 percent from every customer’s service bill to BCH. The NEADA also matched 10 percent of customers’ service bills with a donation to BCH. The additional donation comes after the association’s recent announcement to extend their initial Nov.-2012 pledge of support to donate $500,000 to BCH over a two-year span to $1 million over a four-year span.

“The New England Acura Dealers take great pride in knowing that the relationships we have built with Boston Children’s Hospital, our Acura clientele and the community have made a positive impact in the sales and service departments,” said Brandt De Jonge, district parts and service manager for Acura in New England. “The Acura service experience is second to none and we are so pleased with this year’s response. Matthew Q. Phillips, Acura division, senior district sales manager – District 5A, echoed this sentiment with, “after meeting the dedicated hospital staff and the resilient kids and families, it reminded us all that we need to spend more time using what we have to help others.”
De Jonge and Phillips, along with the seven service managers from each of the NEADA’s dealerships, presented BCH with the $25,000 check on Jan. 23.

The holiday service donation initiative began on Giving Tuesday – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – with the NEADA donating a large shipment of teddy bears to the hospital and dealership representatives hosting a kid’s arts and crafts session at BCH. Last year the dealers raised $25,000 in addition to their $500,000 commitment. The initiative also came on the heels of the annual Champions for Children’s event, an all-star fundraiser featuring NEADA representatives alongside Boston’s business leaders and sports teams—the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and New England Revolution.

The NEADA’s ongoing support of BCH began with their pledge in November 2012. The donation, which is raised from a portion of the proceeds of every Acura sold, goes toward the Children’s Fund, an unrestricted fund that supports the hospital’s areas of greatest need.
