Acura Maintenance Minder Service Codes | Menus
Rather than using a static table of time and mileage to keep track of maintenance, the Acura Maintenance Minder system calculates service needs based on how the vehicle is driven. It checks engine operating conditions, such as weather extremes, stop-and-start traffic, and frequent short trips, and helps coordinate oil service dates and other maintenance check-ups to minimize your trips to our dealership’s service department.

Acura Maintenance Minder “A” Service Code
Perform multipoint inspection, perform underhood inspection drain & refill engine oil, replace engine oil filter, replace crush washer. Inspect and top off all fluid levels, inspect and test the 12v battery.
Acura Maintenance Minder “B” Service Code
Perform multipoint inspection, perform underhood inspection drain & refill engine oil, replace engine oil filter, replace crush washer. Inspect and top off all fluid levels, inspect and test the 12v battery. Perform undercarriage inspection, remove all brake calipers, clean and lubricate caliper slide pins, & re-assemble brake calipers.

- Perform tire rotation (rotate tires from front to back unless otherwise directed by manufacturer), inspect tire tread depth and wear patterns.
- Perform replacement of engine air filter element & in-cabin micron filter element, clean filter boxes and inspect filter systems for proper operation.
- Perform replacement of transmission fluid & front transfer case fluid (if so equipped), clean drain plug magnet, replace fill washer and drain washer. Inspect unit for any leaks and for proper operation.
- Perform spark plug replacement, inspect valve lash and make needed adjustments, install new tube seals, valve cover grommets, and new valve cover gaskets.
- Perform coolant system flush drain and refill engine coolant, inspect system for any leaks and for proper operation. Replace timing belt (if so equipped), water pump, tensioner and external drive belt.
- Perform replacement of rear diferential fluid (if so equipped), clean drain plug magnet, replace fill washer and drain washer. Inspect unit for any leaks and for proper operation.
- Perform brake fluid flush, drain and refill brake fluid, bleed brake system, inspect all brake lines, hoses, calipers, and inspect system for proper operation.
* Note: As a general rule, if your maintenance minder message does not illuminate within 1 year, Acura recommends to perform either a Service A or Service B at minimum. Your Acura trained Service Advisor will make you aware of any other recommended service items based on length of ownership and miles driven.
